I disagree. These technical projects are a breeze. All you need is a Windows admin/Hardware enthusiast and a Linux admin and in no time you've got a fully working linux-based DVR :)

Cool. Care to share the details? I have an old ReplayTV from 2003, but it doesn't record HD. Not that House MD is any worse in SD :)

Nothing fancy. No HD that's for sure. Just an old PC + hauppauge 150 tuner card running KnoppMyth.
