Amazingly enough, DMV was not half bad. In and out in one hour six minutes. That included standing in three lines and having my bad picture taken. Also included an major act of kindness from an employee who processed my initial paperwork. I was apparently in a wrong line -- although it said "NYS Renewals" -- since I was renewing with the enhanced "passport" option. She was nice not to turn me around into a much longer "general" line and processed me anyway.
