0606 Arrive Bensonhurst, pick up VG. Depart for Brooklyn Army Terminal.
0620 Arrive Brooklyn Army Terminal, 58th Street & 1st Avenue. Park. Embark "Sunset Princess".
0634 Depart for South Street Seaport
0712 Arrive South Street Seaport, Pier 11. Wait to disembark. Long fucking time.
0730 Board SIA bus
0733 Depart for Midtown
0800 Arrive 49th Street & 5th Avenue. Walk the rest of the way.
0810 Arrive office meeting.

here is my itinerary for 2 days that I had to commute to work during strike:
day 1 (Tuesday)
7 am -- get up, blah blah, get ready
8 am -- get picked by a company car
8:30 am -- arrive to work (40th st & Park ave)

day 3 (today)
6 am - get up, blah blah, get ready
6:45 am - get into my friend's car
7:20 -- arrive to work.

Why can't u simply get 2 more people to join you (sure there won't be a problem to find someone who'd want a free ride), ride to the city, and expense parking??? I told you yesterday that there was no traffic, and you still decided to do this S&M thing to yourself. I am telling you, we weren't stuck in traffic even once

You live a good 20 minute ride North from me, baby, and about 7 minute drive from the bridge. And most of my coworkers are LI/NJ/NYC people. There's nobody I know from work who lives in Brooklyn. Yesterday I put out an invite on LJ/ru_newyork, but there was only one taker, and not in the right place either. They are only setting up company cars today (maybe), so by the time they are ready the strike will be over.

Oh well, at least I caught a boat ride :)

Why complicate everything? Just ride by any express bus stop in Brooklyn (there is plenty of them on Ocean Pkway) and ask if anyone who is standing there freezing his/her butt waiting for the bus wants to join you. It is that simple.
Yesterday, when I decided to work from home Slavik didn't have 4 people in the car, so they just stopped by the express bus stop and made someone very happy.
