Another one bites the dust
Feb. 16th, 2009 06:44 pmAnother CRT monitor, that is.
My Lacie ElectronBlue IV (second one) is dying, and dying of the same illness the first one died of -- electronics controlling the vertical aperture is slowly decaying. In a week I will lose vertical and will see only a bright horizontal line...and nobody makes CRTs any more...
That means I have to shell out some $$$ for Eizo ColorEdge CE240W LCD I had my eyes on for some time. It's a photo editor's best friend. It comes with its own color management software and a 5-year warrantyand a complimentary blow job...if only it weren't this expensive...but hey -- I managed to pull a bonus (from TARP, where else) even after having been laid off. They loved me over there, apparently ;)
Well, easy come, easy go...
