Big Brother in your printer

Apparently, according to EFF, Secret Service made a deal with manufacturers of color printers to put dots on printouts identifying the time/data and model # of the printer on every printout, to combat counterfitting. There is, however, no guarantee against (and no law prohibiting) Government use of these stamps for prosecuting other kinds of crimes.
