Nationally, the black market is the source for guns used in more than 90 percent of gun crimes. Since Bloomberg became mayor in 2002, every gun homicide in the city has been committed with an illegal gun, police say. (emphasis mine - DM)

So they admit it themselves that licensed people are unlikely to commit homicides. And yet in the City every owner has to register every single firearm he has, as if license with fingerprints is not enough. When are they going to understand that licensed people are unlikely to buy guns for committing crime?

Nice!!

This, by the way, shows clearly that the actual funnel is much wider than the visible white condensation center.

Беседовал я тут с одним летописцем.

И тут мне по теме дивизии СС Карл Великий попался интересный ахтунг  - Генерал Леклерк:

General Leclerc was famously presented with a defiant group of 11-12 captured Charlemagne Division men. The Free French General immediately asked them why they wore a German uniform, to which one of them unwisely replied by asking the General why he wore an American one (the Free French wore modified US army uniforms). Rebuilding

Replaced the failed RAID drive in my data RAID volume. Rebuilding the new one. I'll see if it lives longer than the first one.

Goes to show: if you are building a RAID volume, don't use drives of the same series bought from the same store at the same time -- it increases the risk of failure. Probably same capacity/characteristics but different manufacturers would be better.
