I just saw a cab catch fire on 50th street corner Rockefeller plaza - probably from ruptured fuel lines - and explode and burn down. It was pretty cool (no casualties). Huge crowd of course.
It took FD about 15 minutes to turn a corner. Don’t understand why they didn't use the hydrants -- they didn't need the entire truck to extinguish one car fire, it would have been enough to just hook a hose to a hydrant. Instead, they tried to get in with a truck and that took some long-ass time...
I'm sure we'll see it on the news tonight.
