Yep, a few years ago I was terrified to see my israeli friend Mike pay ~4NS/liter (same $3.80/gallon)
As for the cold fusion, I am a great believer in the magic powers of free market ;) As soon as oil prices will reach critical levels, suddenly major corporation will jump over each other in a bid to finance cold fusion (or some other thingamajig) R&D
