as a rule of thumb i try not to engage in political discussions -- waste of energy. but to give you a cliff note version -- he is conservative to the extreme + he is religious to the extreme. Religion is the underlying factor for most of his judgements/statements. I don't like extremes, I don't like conservatives, and I am averse to any religion (don't confuse it with faith, though. i differentiate between the two). Roberts is a way tooo biased, and my preference is moderation.
