Tomorrow equity markets are enjoying The Russell Rebalance Day.

Because of this, I have to be at work at 7am.

This fucking sucks.

My boss asked me very cautiously if I wouldn't mind showing up a bit early tomorrow. To my very pointed "how early?" question he sheepishly replied: "nine o'clock?"
I got him trained :)

Believe me, for somebody who a few times showed up at 11am, 7am is a killer :)

I have to be at the desk with those assholes all morning. Yuck.

Funny thing is, all the action happens the last five minutes before market close. Or so I hear.

Sure, electronic venues get a spike in FIX flow, but for sell-side houses it's all about customer facilitation deals, which are pre-arranged a week prior to the rebalance day but are transacted after the market close.
