In the meantime, here's the skinny on boomtoys here in the Great State Of Montana. Feel free to use as a template for your own post:I guess the spirit of the Frontier is still alive in some places...and it's beautiful out there, people...
Waiting period: Nope, just the usual national Brady check
Licensing: None at state level. Only if you want Class III stuff and thats federal.
Class III: Sure, if you got 'em, smoke 'em. Guy up in Kalipsell has a minigun, fer chrissakes.
Ammo: No restrictions on purchasing. Fire marshal may have something on storage but Ive never heard of it.
Magazines: No restrictions whatsoever
'Assault rifles': Have as many as you want.
.50 caliber: No restrictions whatsoever.
Private purchase: Buy 'em right out of the classifieds in the paper. Have fun!
Quantity limitations: No 'one gun a month' nonsense. Only limit is placed on you buy the bank.
Concealed weapon: $50, background check, show some type of training (military, hunter safety, etc). Must issue. Only needed when within the limits of an incorporated town. Unnecessary if engaged in an 'outdoor activity' such as hiking, fishing, etc.
