McCain got booed today just for mentioning the words "illegal immigration" in front a conservative crowd. Serves him right, too.

Despite being quite feverish and weak, I did manage to stumble across the hall to the elevator which took me downstairs to the polling station that luckily resides in the lobby of my own building to vote in the primaries this past Tuesday.

The process is foobarred, I have to say. Do note -- this is my first vote in the primaries as a registered party member, so I didn't know exactly what to expect.

I came in with my party registration note just in case they "didn't have me on the list". An old lady with a "Democratic Supervisor" badge held the list of voters. I didn't see any "Republican Supervisor" people around there. My registration was there, with a "Rep" next to it. They gave me a green ticket with my name on it, to which I didn't pay attention. I went into the booth, pulled the lever to the right to begin, only to discover I can't vote for any Republican candidates and they must have set the machine up for a Dem voter. I came back out saying I can't vote for any Republican candidates. The Russian assistant lady looked at me like I am from another planet (yes, everyone is this old Jew-infested Brooklyn neighborhood is a freaking Democrat), and said, with a quiver in her voice, to the "Dem Supervisor" lady: "He's a Republican...". I swear she was going to start crying. I went over to the supervisor, and she said: "So you're a Republican". I said "Yes". The assistant lady said "He already pulled the lever to the right". Then the old witch said "Then he can't vote -- he pulled for Democrats". "WHAT?!" I snapped. "I pulled to the right, just let a democratic voter in there to complete it, and then I'll go in and vote the way I need to vote.". She went off on me telling me to take it easy (while she fucked up giving me the wrong ticket and ASSUMING I was a democrat despite REP next to my registration entry). Eventually somebody came in and voted in my booth, I got my red card and voted Republican.

The process is retarded. The machine is ancient and retarded. The voting facility staff are retarded. The candidates themselves are retarded. And let's face it, voters are slightly retarded as well.

It's a retardation extravaganza!

Thank you for participating in the United States electoral process (spits in disgust).

PS. And yet again, I the Voter am forced to choose between semi-worthless shitheads. The guy I really wanted to vote for didn't make it, so I was left with choosing between a dude who doesn't think there are enough illegals living in this country, a "do one thing yesterday, advertise the opposite today" dude and an "evangelical conservative". C'est fantastique. I really hate both parties.
