Just watched Bill O'Reilly's appearance on Letterman's show.
Basically, corny jokes aside, I watched Dave Letterman make a complete ass of himself for ten minutes. You may agree or disagree with Bill O, but he's got an argument and he was making a point or two. Letterman had nothing. All he could do was sit and try to mock O'Reilly and take the cheapest shots I've seen on live TV. The audience was only too happy to applaude, although, to at least slightly repair their credibility, they did applaude also when Bill said that "nobody who blows up innocent women and children is going to be called 'freedom fighter' on my program".
Letterman then proceeded to sum himself up as a liberal idiot entertainer with the following tirade:
'Nough said.

I'm not smart enough to debate you point to point on this but I think sixty percent of what you're saying is crap. This phrase should be written into the annals of liberal idiocy.

Why I can't stand Ann Coulter
Jan. 5th, 2006 08:25 pmHere's the reason: Ann Coulter is nothing more than a blabbermouth partisan pundit.
And this is coming from a registered Republican.
She has nothing but zeal. For me, zeal alone does more damage to the conservative cause than good. I like to have opinions based on and/or backed up by facts. In the absence of clearly defined facts, jumping out barking obscenities labels us (myself included) as slightly out of our minds.
I am not out of my mind.
And for that reason I dont want to be seen in the company (however virtual and remote) of Ann Coulter.
I will leave you with a comparison.
In the light of the recent NSA surveilliance scandal, many people have been expressing their opinions on the subject. Some tend to say the President was wrong authorizing this, some say he was not.
Here are two opinion columns written on the aforementioned subject by two conservative columnists, Ann Coulter and Linda Chavez, on the Townhall.com site.

Linda Chavez: http://www.townhall.com/opinion/column/lindachavez/2006/01/04/180968.html
You do the math.

Dear Lord...
Jan. 5th, 2006 11:06 pm...please smite the asshole named Pat Robertson...I dont really believe in you, Almighty, but on the off chance you are indeed out there...please shove a lightning bolt up Pat Robertsons ass right in the middle of him saying the likes of the following, as I have just seen on TV:
So once again, Lord -- next time this piece of shit opens his trap to say something horrible like that, have him ass-rammed by an Archangel.
Two even!
He was dividing God's land, and I would say, 'Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the [European Union], the United Nations or the United States of America'
[...]
God says, 'This land belongs to me, and you'd better leave it alone'
So once again, Lord -- next time this piece of shit opens his trap to say something horrible like that, have him ass-rammed by an Archangel.
Two even!
