I don't like the
warrant-less surveillance crap. There is no reason, no reason at all for domestic anti-terrorism efforts not to be overseen by a court, even if it is secretive, like FISA. I am therefore glad there is a move to overwrite W's initiatives on this.
What pisses me off though is that it's the
Democrats who display the privacy-minded activities. What happened to the old Conservative values? Republican Party used to be a party of privacy. What happened to that? Why are all those R- senators giving party-aligned speeches about "giving our intelligence community the tools they need"?
I don't mind the tools, but I find it necessary for warrants to be issued as the "checks and balances" nature intended.
