Great. In a normal country, you know, the one where the government actually knows who's crossing the border and why, a person helping people get across illegally would have been arrested. But not in this country. Strange stuff, really. To no surprise though -- indeed, with a certain twist of logic, you might agree that since the government doesn't care about millions of people crossing illegally, it would probably not care about a shoe-giving-away-artist helping them...

A simple arrest by the Border Patrol would suffice, I think. A few days in the holding cell, an appearance before the judge, a big fine and a probationary sentence on the first offense, followed by criminal charges and a mandatory prison term the second time.
