Anniversary of sorts

On Sep 3rd 2008 I have passed a 5-year mark at my current place of employment.

Anniversaries like that are officially 'celebrated' in the Bank, so I got an ugly-ass award cube "The Corner Stone Of Our Success" (made in China), and my current crew had a celebratory meeting, full of insults and mockery :)

I got an official bank card from them, with the following inscriptions from my fellow-inmates:

-- How come you can make 5 years -- that's over a thousand days?

-- What the...you're still here? Congratulations on reaching a 5-year milestone.

-- Man, you're ancient.

-- Congrats, I'll put in a good word with the parole board, but no guarantees

-- Congratulations on your milestone and here's to the next five years, hahahaha.

-- Congrats, old man.

Well, one thing was positive. The bank offers "anniversary gifts" for those they have fucked for years divisible by 5. Guess what, I have chosen this for a gift. I mean shit, it's a free telescope with an equatorial mount:


 

So I guess that's what I was working towards all these years.

PS. Dear god, that awards website has awards for working at the bank for sixty years. Please, God...
